Please do be aware that during summer months and holiday periods we can experience high demand. We do aim to respond to all messages and new enquiries within 48 hours.

 

Calling us:

New callers can speak to an adviser without a prior appointment between 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these times we do have Consultants on call. Please leave a message on our answering service or use the Booking Form on this page to make an appointment.

All advice provided relates solely to professional matters in accordance with the statutory defined role of Environmental Health Practitioners, for the assessment of conditions that can give rise to nuisance or impact adversely on public health. Any such advice should not be construed as legal representation or advocacy on behalf of any party.

I have read and fully understood the terms of the agreement (contract) between me and Noisedirect and agree to the provisions and stipulations detailed in the Terms and Conditions supplied and understand that by requesting an immediate service (within the statutory 14 day cancellation period) I will not be entitled to cancel the service or seek a refund.         

If you ask for a Noisedirect Consultation to start during the statutory 14 day cooling off period and the service commences or is completed during that time, you will lose the right to cancel the contract and will not be entitled to a refund.

All Noisedirect Telephone Consultations are subject to a minimum fee of £39.00 plus VAT (£46.80 incl). Fees are charged at a rate of £39.00 plus VAT (£46.80 incl) per 30 minutes. For calls that exceed each 30 minute period these are charged at the 60 minute fee. A time check is carried out by all advisers at the commencement of all Noisedirect Telephone Consultations. The responsibility for adhering to the 30 minute time limit rests entirely with the consumer.

All Noisedirect fees are payable in advance of telephone advice and casework; and an appointment is not deemed booked until such time as payment has been received in full.

We provide a low cost fixed fee service to assist individuals to obtain advice and help to resolve noise issues impacting on their quality of life. However excessive emails, telephone, calls bogus enquiries or instances where prospective clients do not comply with pre contract requirements result in unnecessary administration costs to us and impact on our ability to provide a valuable, low cost fixed fee service.  Please do not send lengthy emails with a long case history asking if we can help you, in place of booking a 30 minute fixed fee Noisedirect Telephone Consultation.

If you send lengthy emails detailing your noise issue along with attachments for review, then please be aware that these will be subject to fee charges for review and response.

Written advice or review of documents will incur a minimum charge of £78.00 plus VAT (£93.60 incl) along with £78.00 plus VAT (£93.60 incl) per each additional hour thereafter. Review of all correspondence, reports, documents or letters whether sent by fax, email or post  or forwarded by a third party on your behalf will be charged in accordance with the hourly fixed fee rate of £78.00 plus VAT(£93.60 incl) .

On receipt of your request for a Noisedirect Consultation (or any other service) we will contact you by email and offer you an appointment or provide a fee quote for casework. As part of our our pre-contractual requirements, we will ask you to respond by email with our acceptance clause below:

‘I have read and fully understood the terms of the agreement (contract) between me and Noisedirect and agree to the provisions and stipulations detailed in the contract email and in the Terms and Conditions supplied and understand that by requesting an immediate service (within the statutory 14 day cancellation period) I will not be entitled to cancel the service or seek a refund’.     

If you wish to use our service, then you must confirm acceptance of our Terms and Conditions. If we do not receive the required acceptance, then unfortunately we will not be able to issue an invoice, book an appointment or make an offer for any services or assistance.

Once you have responded by email with the acceptance clause our Accounts Team will email you an invoice. Please ensure that payment is received, by the date and time indicated for your Noisedirect Consultation appointment / service  to proceed, or after 14 days where you wish to defer payment. If you wish to defer payment then your service will also be deferred. Once payment has been received our Accounts Team will issue an email with payment and Noisedirect Consultation appointment confirmation.
